Watercolour, 51 x 76 cm. Signed Nils Forsberg and dated 1899.
Compare to the oil painting “Death of a Hero” (today in the Nationalmuseum collection, inventory number NM 1419) which Forsberg exhibited at the 1888 Salon and which was donated to the museum by August Rhöss the following year.
