the exterior skilfully painted with a continuous scene depicting a standing dignitary and a seated lady on a terrace, accompanied by young attendants, two holding fans. All within a landscape of trees, rockwork, a banana plant and scudding clouds, Kangxi mark and of the period (1662-1722), height c. 15 cm, diameter c. 17.3 cm.
