A LARGE 'CIZHOU' SLIP-DECORATED WINE JAR, potted with a rolled rim, cylindrical neck and ovoid body covered with a creamy white slip ground and repeating bands of stylized plants, the decoration achieved in dark iron brown, Ming dynasty, 16/17th century, height c. 52 cm.

PROVENANCE: A private collection from Southern Sweden. Purchased during the second half of the 20th century.
