Novum testamentum illustratum insignium rerum simulachris. No place [Paris], François Gryphe, 1541. 2 parts in one volume.
16mo (114x70 mm.). Title with printer's device in woodcut. Illustrated with numerous half-page woodcuts. Lacking 2 blank leaves (Aa8 and T8).
20th century vellum, gilt title to spine, gilt edges, marbled inner doblures and endpapers, slight wear. Small bookplate of Paul Harth on first free endpaper.
First published in 1539 by Gryphe and later re-issued in 1540, 1541 and 1542.
Woodcut illustrations probably after Hans Sebald Beham.
