Somewhat worn later (19th century) brown half calf, gilt spine in 3 compartments. upper edge spotted, lower with "HIP, APHOR" in manuscript. Endpapers with old annotations in Greek. Bookplate of Birger Strandell and one other.
Provenance: Birger Strandell (1901-1993), famous Swedish collector of Linnaeus. Strandell was a Stockholm physician and descendant of Linnaeus who built a private collection of Linnaean materials. A large part of his collections are in The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, Pittsburgh USA.
