Small 4:o (about 205x145 mm). (8), 1-55, (1 blank), 2 (auctorum nomina) ll. Title with woodcut printer's device1 folding printed table (mended tear).
Brown near contemporary half leather, somewhat worn, rebacked (20th century), spine in four compartments, boards warped. Old catalogue description pasted on inside of upper board. Old library annotation on inside of upper board. Uncommon.

Provenance: Birger Strandell (1901-1993), famous Swedish collector of Linnaeus. Strandell was a Stockholm physician and descendant of Linnaeus who built a private collection of Linnaean materials. A large part of his collections are in The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation, Pittsburgh USA.
