8:o (155 x 95 mm.). Engraved portrait of Charles II engraved by Schiffler. (10), 1-576, 579-658; 320, (62) pp. 21 folding engraved plates (complete, some minor foxing, 1 tear to fold, 1 minor tear to fold). Title with old owner's note "Exlibris Cri. Hci. Braac"?. Text with some minor foxing or spotting.
Contemporary vellum, partly soiled and worn, partly split in inner hinge, spine with manuscript title.
Warmholtz 209. Second edition of Goelger's description of Sweden with the plates that are not present in the first edtion which was published in 1707. Most of the plates are smaller copies from Dahlberg's Suecia Antiqua. Amongst others plates showing Drottningholm, Carlberg, Reval, Riga, Stockholm.
Johann Georg Goelgel (1669-1732), German lawyer in Regensburg.
Provenance: Bark (Barck) family, Bro gård in Uppland, Sweden. The castle was built by count Johan Sparre af Söfdeborg (1856-1938, chamberlain), married to Mathilde Sparre, née Barck (1865-1925). Bro gård was inherited by the countess Ebba Reuterskiöld, née von Rosen (1904-1982).
