Fine Art Auction
Stockholms Auktionsverk is presenting about 200 works of art in the auction “Female Artists” that will come under the hammer on March 8. The auction will give us a near unique insight into the struggle and camaraderie of Swedish female artists in the last 200 years. The majority of the works come from the important art collection of the Hansson family, who specialized in female artists. In three decades, two generations of insightful art dealers have been able to build a considerable collection of both depth and breadth.
The auction also comprises of a collection of works by the late textile artist Kaisa Melanton, 27 objects of both paintings and textiles.
