Vladimir Titov
Vladimir Titov, born in 1948 in the Soviet Union, is an artist known for his abstract compositions, still lifes and geometric paintings. He began his art education in 1965 at the Art School in Saint Petersburg, but dropped out after just six months when his interest in abstract art was not accepted within the prevailing academic tradition.
Titov made his public debut in 1975 at a national exhibition in Tallinn. Over the years, he has had separate exhibitions in Russia, Estonia, Finland and the UK, among others, and his works are represented in both museum and private collections around Europe. His painting is characterized by a consistent exploration of form, color and balance, with abstract expression at its center.
