These are Jan Holm’s own words, and they perfectly capture the essence of his artistic mission.Stockholms Auktionsverk now presents 129 works by Jan Holm, all sold in support of the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund (Barncancerfonden).

Holm himself was diagnosed with cancer at a young age, a disease he lived with until his passing. Yet it never stopped him from leading a creative life with the brush as his tool. In a review for Helsingborgs Dagblad, Birgitta Lööf once wrote that Jan Holm, through his painting, “has created a sanctuary for the odd and lonely people he met out in the world.”

Without a doubt, these figures are depicted with warmth and empathy. Across the 129 paintings now up for auction, Holm’s humanity and presence shine through — offering viewers a sense of warmth and an enduring vitality.

All hammer proceeds will be donated to the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund.
