His tool is the etching needle, and his subjects range from celebrities—Prince Paul Troubetzkoy is one—to the Dalarna farmer Lavards Anders, to women, here named Frida, Gulli, and Ols Maria. And, of course, Zorn himself. The immediate self-portrait in wolf fur stands as a cornerstone of Swedish art history.
