Toys

You just want to come home from school, check what’s in the fridge, kick your sneaker-clad feet up on the coffee table, and after a sandwich and a glass of chocolate milk, pick up right where you were forced to leave off a few hours earlier — with the toys.
And that’s more or less exactly what you can do at Stockholms Auktionsverk, now showcasing model trains, Star Wars ships, puzzles, and Donald Duck comics — more than enough to keep anyone entertained all afternoon.
But it’s a century-old dollhouse that stands out as something of a highlight. Its kitchen interior is “custom made,” and don’t miss the moonlight specimen case with butterflies. Very much a wow moment! Somewhere in one of the furnished rooms, you can easily let the hours slip away. A 70 cm tall Donald Duck figure from an amusement park or fair also deserves a mention, as do a few original illustrations by, among others, Don Rosa and Rune Andréasson.
