With its coastal location, it’s no surprise that Stockholms Auktionsverk Helsingborg occasionally casts its gaze out to sea. This time, it takes shape in the form of maritime paintings and models. Expect heeling ships, fishing boats with engines idling at low revs, and a helmsman cast in bronze, created by Ernfrid Bogstedt. Among the paintings are works by Christian Benjamin Olsen, Victor Quistorff, and Vilhelm Arnesen. The ship models depict a wide range of the sea’s loyal workhorses, now waiting to anchor in new homes.
