A Private Collection of Street
Stockholms Auktionsverk is pleased to present a small auction of unique collector’s items. All lots originate from the sneaker and streetwear boutique Ettresex — formerly known as PlugMePlease — located on Södermalm in Stockholm.
Among the auction’s most iconic highlights is a jacket from Kanye West’s highly hyped label Pastelle which, despite considerable attention, never entered large-scale production. Today, the unreleased collection is highly sought after among collectors, and the collage jacket in particular holds a special status. Ye, as he is now known, wore the jacket when he received the award for Rap/Hip-Hop Artist of the Year at the American Music Awards in 2008. More recently, his daughter North was seen wearing one of these jackets during Paris Fashion Week in 2022.
Further pieces from Ye’s early design work appear in his collaboration with the sneaker brand Bape Sta. The rapper’s first design partnership resulted in a pair of shoes with a retro sensibility, echoing the aesthetic of his 2004 album The College Dropout. The shoes are adorned with the mascot from his early musical career — the Dropout Bear.
The auction also includes several of Comme des Garçons’ experimental fanzines, two exceptionally rare Bearbrick 1000% figures, and a pair of Nike sneakers seemingly designed for a walk on Mars.
Also on offer are two skateboards by Supreme. One features the iconic artwork from Joy Division’s album Unknown Pleasures (1979). The other is one of the original decks from 2000, whose pattern Supreme used without permission from the luxury house Louis Vuitton. The collection prompted threats of legal action for trademark infringement from the French fashion house and was withdrawn after only a few weeks. In 2017, the two brands entered into an official collaboration — the first of its kind between a luxury label and a skate brand.
