"Denckmäler der Freundschaft gesammelt von Johanna Carolina Starckin" (title). German guestbook, late 18th century, with contributions between the years 1788-95 and 1808. Belonged to Johanna Carolina Starckin.
Title in water colour, 5 water colours and drawings, 2 engravings with text on silk, both mounted. About 40 text contributions, poems etc, partly signed, some dated Grünhain (or Grunhaÿn). Some spotting and soiling.
Contemporary full calf binding, boards with gilt bordure and decor, upper board with gilt monogram J. C. ST. and the year 1788, gilt edges. Binding partly worn and rubbed, boards slightly warped, upper edge of spine with small crack. Inner doblures of papers with flowers.
Oblong 8vo, c. 105x175 mm.
