Collection of letters regarding diplomacy sent to the Russian Charge de affairs Alexandre de Koudriaffsky amongst others.
About 150 autograph letters. In overall very good condition, a few letters with tears and small stains.
Collection of autograph letters mostly in french from the archive of the families Koudriaffsky, Lebensky and Klinckowström between 1840-1930. The majority of the letters regard diplomatic matters adressed to the Russian Charge de affairs Alexandre de Koudriaffsky and the diplomat Grégoire de Koudriaffsky. The collection includes letters written by diplomats at the Russian embassy in Madrid, the Spanish embassy in Brussels and Lêgation de Perse, as well as correspondence with diplomats in Russia, France and Sweden.
Included in the archive is a handwritten journal in french and english regarding the London embassy as well as sixteen calling cards belonging to different diplomats.
Provenance: Stavsund castle, the family of Klinckowström, Sweden.
Bought at bookauction at Stavsund manor, probably in the late 1960s.
