AN EXPORT ARMORIAL PART TEA SERVICE, comprising: three cups and saucers, four bowls with covers, with the coat of arms of the noble Swedish family Björnstjerna, Qianlong period (1736-1795), height of the bowls c. 10-13 cm
NOTE:
The service was made for the law officer, tutor and royal librarian, Johan Beronius Björnstjerna (1729-1797). He was raised to the nobility in 1775 and the service was probably executed shortly after. The tea service is noted in the inventory of the estate, after the death of Johan Björnstjerna.
