Contemporary brown half roan, worn, cracks in the joints, damaged gilt spine. One leaf (pp. 185/186) browned, the following leaves dampstained in lower part. Also a few leaves at the beginning dampstained in lower margin. Bookplate of John Lawson.

The first edition appeared in 1857.
