Hand-coloured engraved map with cartouche and compass rose. About 342x460 mms. Latin edition. The small title cartouche on the upper left side showing Europe on Zeus the Bull. Centrefold as always, minor fold to upper right part, two small traces of worming in lower part, small spot to part of Africa, some spotting and staining to margin, fold to right margin.

Van den Broecke, 5.1., 1603L2. (300 copies printed). This map was first issued in 1584.
From "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum", first published in 1570. The map was bought at Klemming´s Antikvariat in Stockholm in May1957.
