(10, including extra engraved title), 1-556, (12) pp. Engraved frontispiece (marginal foxing), 3 double page engraved maps (some foxing), 21 engraved plates, of which 1 folding and 13 double page (all, 1 [Der Thurn von Babel] mended in inner part, 3 with some damage in the margins [1 with small pictorial loss], 1 repaired in the margins, some foxing and marginal dampstaining, some offsetting from plates to text), 8 engravings in text.
Later (early 20th century) half leather, spine in six compartments. Partly dampstained in the margins, some foxing. A couple of old stamps, for example om p. 369. First German edition.

With fine views of Aden, Babylon, Bagdad, Ephesus, Izmir (reinforced in the margins) and Muskat among others. Engravings from the original edition printed in Amsterdam in 1681.
