Imperial folio (505x380 mm). Titles in red and black, title to part two foxed. With 24 coloured plates after E. Julia Robinson (all, about 12 plates partly foxed mainly to margins, some offsetting, about 9 text leaves partly foxed).
Untrimmed in decorated contemporary vellum, partly worn and scuffed, some minor spotting, covers slightly warped, spine with leather labels. Bookplate of G. A. Hagemann. Dedicated to the artist E. Julia Robinson from her brother the author, dated 1894 (on the first free endpaper).
