Warsalongen 2026
Today, around 520 million children live in conflict-affected areas – a figure that has doubled in just recent years. Behind the numbers are the children who have all become victims of adults’ wars. The children’s rights organisation War Child was founded over 30 years ago and has been active in Sweden since 2016. They support children affected by conflict in 15 countries, providing psychosocial support, education, and protection so that they can grow up to become safe and secure adults.
Warsalongen is an art exhibition and charity auction in which Swedish artists, galleries, and collectors donate works to benefit children growing up under these conditions. All proceeds go entirely to War Child’s work.
It is with great pleasure that Stockholms Auktionsverk presents the fourth edition of Warsalongen. The auction features works by well-known Swedish artists such as Dan Wolgers, Astrid Sylwan, Mikael Genberg, Joakim Ojanen, and Cecilia Edefalk. We will also see works by Anna Brandt and Robert Hilmersson, whose paintings sold well above their estimates last year. Another exciting highlight is a drawing by Martin Kann featuring the well-known Bob Hund character, signed by the band members. Niklas Runesson’s charming mirror demonstrates the unique ability of the hand and craftsmanship to create distinctive objects with a strong presence.
In a short time, Warsalongen has become an important meeting place between the art world and humanitarian engagement. You are warmly invited to explore this exciting auction, where every bid helps make life safer for children in conflict areas.
