Stockholms Auktionsverk Sickla Presents

Musical instruments

Across the rooftops of Sickla, a winding ribbon of musical notes drifts through the air. Follow it to its source and you’ll arrive at Stockholms Auktionsverk’s Sickla branch, where instruments of every kind have been brought together. Guitars, accordions, violins, saxophones, electric contraptions with keys — and a magnificent harp crafted from maple in London sometime in the late 19th century.

A Höfner “500/1 Violin Bass / Cavern Bass,” purchased in Nässjö in the early 1960s, is a true delicacy — a delight for both eye and ear. Of quite a different breed is the 1980s “Prophet 5 model 1000 Rev 3” synthesizer, a golden treasure for anyone who sought to take on hard rock during that decade.

And then there are the saxophones — seductively golden, ready to burst into chattering solos the moment a player gives them breath.

You’ll find it all at Stockholms Auktionsverk Sickla, in their themed sale Musical Instruments.
