Stockholms Auktionsverk presents

Eclectic & Decorative

Stockholms Auktionsverk rounds off 2025 with the presentation of the catalogue for Lilla Kvalitén.

The sale offers a rich selection of carefully chosen art, decorative arts and design. As tradition dictates, the catalogue spans several centuries, ranging from classical antiques to highly contemporary design. Stockholm-made pieces are shown alongside Danish design classics; delicate 18th-century silver spoons appear next to ceramics by Lisa Larson and Berndt Friberg; and colour and form drawn from Strandvägen’s most celebrated display window are represented by Josef Frank.

Highlights can be found throughout the catalogue—here are three examples.A chest of drawers with matching mirror by Nordiska Kompaniet’s chief architect Axel Einar Hjorth exemplifies the refined furniture art of early modernism. The lithographed tinplate limousine by Georges Carette has everything one could wish for in a toy car. And then there is the table clock depicting Neuschwanstein Castle—what a piece!

These three glimpses offer a foretaste of the diversity and richness of form found in this year’s final edition of Lilla Kvalitén.

You are most welcome!
