A RETICULATED FAMILLE VERTE LANTERN LAMP AND STAND, decorated with cranes and phoenix birds within cartouches , late Qing dynasty, 19th century, height c. 41 cm

PROVENANCE:
From the summer atelier of the professor and painter Otte Sköld, at Bergsjö-Näset, Värmland, Sweden. The artist was born in China 1894 since his mother and father were foreign missionaries. The items in the atelier were probably purchased by his parents Johan and Eva Sköld at the end of the 19th century. Otte Sköld came to Sweden 1907 and died 1958 in Stockholm.
