Folio (c. 300x200 mm.). (12), 624, (8, of which last leaf blank) pp. Title with printer´s device in woodcut, some notes, one dated 1564, verso and last leaf with woodcut portrait of the author. Richly illustrated with text woodcuts, showing astrological squares, palmistry, constellations, physiognomy heads.
Near contemporary soft parchment, blindtooled frame to the covers, spotting and soiling, with some damages, note on verso of last free endpaper. Worming throughout, sometimes more, some browning and dampstaining.

Taisnier (1509-1562), German lawyer, mathematician, philosoph and musician who amongst others were a tutor to Karl V.
