Antoine Watteau, Chritophe Huet, François Boucher and Jean-Baptiste Pillement (1728-1808) are the great names in the history of French rococo chinoiserie. They not only produced many of the finest works in the genre but they provided the patterns for a legion of less original artists and craftsmen.
